The 26-inch hybrid Frog 73 kids’ bike is the ideal multi-purpose geared bike, suitable for 12 to 14-year-olds. This premium hybrid children’s bike has a lightweight, sturdy aluminium frame, weighing 9.75kg making the bike easy to manoeuvre on roads, pavements, towpaths and forest trails. It comes with Kenda small block eight tyres for maximum stability and grip, full-length mudguards and the option to attach a pannier rack to the frame, for transporting school books and sports equipment.

The Frog 73 kids’ bike is equipped with age-specific components, including a quick-release saddle for the perfect riding position and FrogFit Technology® youth-specific 8-speed gear shifters with short lever travel and ultraslick cabling making changing gear and undulating rides a breeze. The bike also comes with Tektro brakes with small, easy-to-reach brake levers, which means better control and improved confidence for young riders. And, patented Frog cranks, for more effortless pedalling, which reduces the distance between the pedals increasing efficiency and comfort for children.

Sizing Information

Sizing a child for a Frog hybrid bike is an important step in ensuring a comfortable and safe riding experience. Here's a general guide to help you determine the appropriate size for your mini rider:

1. Measure their inseam: Ask your child to stand with their feet slightly apart, then measure the distance from the floor to their crotch using a tape measure. This provides an accurate inseam measurement.
2. Refer to the size chart below. Match your child's inseam measurement with the recommended bike size range provided. Take note of the age and height recommendations too, as they can further guide your decision.
3. Consider their overall height and age: While the inseam measurement is crucial, it's important to consider your child's height and age as well. This ensures a comfortable fit and allows for growth.
4. Test the bike fit: Once you've determined the recommended size, it's helpful to have the child sit on the bike and check for a comfortable riding position. Their feet should be able to touch the ground while sitting on the saddle, and they should have a slight bend in their knees when the pedals are at the lowest point.
